Reading is a psychological course acquiring meanings from the language symbols, through which people absorb, store and use information to improve their language qualities. Through the outclass reading, the students form the self reading ability, boost the development of mind, will and emotion, train the habit of pursuing the new knowledge, and train their attitude of activeness, strictness and persistency and the idea of questioning and creating.At present, the state of outclass reading of senior middle school students is far from optimism. The most important point in outclass reading is that the active sense of the reader gradually declines and the reader change to the passive reader. This is mainly shown as the following trends: leisure---the reading purpose, popular---the reading interest, game---the reading attitude and plat---the reading level. The outclass reading has not effectively influenced the Chinese language education. The reason can be stated from the following aspects: the traditional exam-oriented education, the incompleteness of the education system, the backward of the idea of Chinese education, the negative influence of the popular culture, etc...Therefore, we should firstly create an open reading space and good reading atmosphere during the outclass reading, and ensure the rich books supply and sufficient and free reading time. In the middle of the reading, the teacher should firstly inform the students the value of the reading materials; let the student produce the reading need and interest, so as to read actively. Then according to the reading interest and psychological need of the students, choose the suitable contents and reading destination. Finally, give students systematic theoretical reading guide, promote their good reading habit, organize practical activities, and train the good ability of speaking and writing and the high appreciating level of the students. In this way, from the in-class to out-class, we create a good cycle, which is rich of various evaluating forms and irritates the student's reading interest.To train the ability of out-class reading, the students can do as the following strategies:...
