The new Chinese Curriculum Standards pointed it very clearly that reading is a verypersonalized behavior, we should respect the students’special experience during their studying.We should concern the students unique emotional experience and cognitive experience, at the sametime attach importance to students’ aware and active reading if we want to pay close attention tothe students as the main part in word and deed. The new Chinese Curriculum Standards alsomentioned that learning ancient excellent works taste the Chinese ethnic spirit in it could lay thegroundwork for the form of the certain traditional culture. The Chinese course, as the NativeCulture education, take the mission of training the modern citizen with Chinese national spirit. Thenational culture is the culture taking the national spirit as the carrier, and the excellent ancientliterature in China is the soul of the national culture. This is the meaning of learning the ancientpoem. During the researching I found that the ancient poem teaching cost a lot and waste plenty oftime, but the effective is not good. The main reason of this is the ignoring of the students’awareand active reading. The aim of this research is to improve the high school students’accomplishment in aware and active reading in ancient poem through investigating the currentsituation of the ancient poem aware and active reading.Questionnaire method, interviewing method, documentary analysis method and case analysismethod were used in this research. The research is with the guidance of Marxist theory of thehuman’s all-round development, Constructive Learning Theory and information processing theory.And it is based on the Senior Chinese Curriculum Standards. Through analysis and summarizationof senior students’ group characteristics, age characteristics and gender characteristics inautonomous reading, we can find out the factors that influence on the formation and improvementof senior students’ autonomous reading ability about ancient poems and discuss the relevantsolving strategies.This article has four chapters: The first chapter is introduction. The second chapter is thetheory evidence and the enlightenment of this research. The third chapter is the research of situation of the students’ aware and active reading in ancient poem among three high schools inNingbo through the method of questionnaire and interview. The fourth chapter is the resolutionbased on the status in quo and the case teaching. I hope the related research findings in my researchcould bring certain proofs and practice directive to the ancient poem reading teaching in highschool.
