Based on former researcher's decision on the rural education, this research take the Western rural education as the background, having the several Linxia boarding schools as a case, author adopts action research as the research pattern. Comprehensive displayed the West rural education and the village boarding school's development present situation, in carried on the analysis to existence a series of questions in the foundation, a final analysis of the existing evidence, and the outcome of the case support and operational models. Finally, progress on a combination of theory and practice covering logic and positive analysis as well as operating pattern and case support is made.The main results of research are as follows:I. The boarding school is an effective way to develop the national education, and plays an important role on the plan of basic knowledge and basic skills in western areas at present, it is proved that boarding school is beneficial to popularize the nine-year compulsory education in the national areas where the level of education is low and the resources of education lacks.II. The exploration solved these impoverished local boarding schools develops has the problem the effective way. That is: The state, the local government and the school must do his duty each one to develop the boarding school. Both the systematization of education and the particularity of the boarding school decide that if the boarding school gets the support of the state, the local government and the school, it will develop fast and healthily.III. Probe for the development of effective models boarding school system, to improve the status of boarding school system, promote the harmonious development purposes of student's body and mind, hi my view: scientific and comprehensive management is the key to promote the development of school and maintain the healthy development of students. Changing the teacher's educational view and improving the quality of teacher are the guarantee to develop the boarding school. Both training student's ability of self-management and promoting the development of student's healthy are the focal points of the work of the boarding school.
