| The theory of subjectivity is very popular in the educational reform nowadays in China, based on which the essay is written. The essay mainly focuses on linking the theory to the practice and solving the problems of "what-to-do" and "how-to-do-it" about fostering students' subjectivity in the practical English teaching. In exploring and studying the cultivation of the students' subjectivity in English teaching, the writer makes use of his own teaching practices and the comparisons between his own classes and the paralleling classes taught by other teachers. Out of these practices, experiences, reflections and comparisons, some useful suggestions and hints are put forward. |
