The Non-profit Organizations (NPO) in the PRC develop rapidly after the 1990s, which generally divide into Social Organizations, Private Non-enterprise Units and Foundations at present. Compared with NPOs in the western countries, NPOs in our country are laggard with many problems in themselves, for example, the outstanding problem of Social Organizations lies in their absence of autonomy; although the autonomy of Private Non-enterprise Units is very strong, but most of them have an inclination toward profits. The Educational NPOs is an important type of NPOs. The private schools of our country belong to the category of NPO as a type of Private Non-enterprise Units. In addition, every laws and regulations in our country have stipulated that education is the commonweal utility and "cannot aim for profits". So, it seems undoubtedly that non-profit-making is the basic attribute of private schools. But this attribute of private schools is called in question by many people who think private schools only profess to be the commonweal utility but actually is earning vast profits.Then, in realistic operation, what kind of state is non-profit-making presented on earth in the private schools, and what is the social system background and realistic logic of this kind of state? Through the case study of a private school in Heze of Shandong province, this thesis will try to answer the questions above, which not only offers essential reference for solving the problem whether private school can aim for profits, but also is helpful for the development of the theory and study about non-profit-making of NPOs especially Private Non-enterprise Units.This thesis is divided into six following major parts altogether:Chapter one, "preface", is about why this theme is researched, what the meaning of concepts is in the thesis, and what the methods is used in the thesis.Chapter two reviews the relevant study of non-profit-making at present and the academic dispute on whether private school can aim for profits, which gives a reference...
