Tacit knowledge and the discussion about it have been in existence since old times, but the people who discusses it systemly is the famous physicist chemist and scientific philosopher—Polanyi. He believes that people have two kinds of knowledge. Usually knowledge are described with words, maps and math formula, this is just one kind of knowledge. The knowledge that not expressed are another kind of knowledge, for example, the knowledge in our activities. The first kind of knowledge are explicit knowledge, and second kind of knowledge are tacit knowledge. Compared to explicit knowledge, tacit knowledge have priorities. Tacit knowledge have three factors: subsidiary awareness, focal awareness and perceiver.Because knowledge are associated to teaching, so the introduction of tacit knowledge will result in teaching' change. At the same time, because of tacit knowledge' influence of teaching, teachers should pay more attention to it through their work. First they should realize these knowledge' existence and their influence. Second, they should pay attention to tacit knowledge' explicitness. At last, they should pay attention to tacit knowledge' gain.
