People have got some intrinsic ideas in their daily life forquite a long time, which are not scientific and sound about gender roleeducation. Even teachers are among those people who hold these inflexibleopinions, known as one of the straitlaced gender role prejudice. It iscalled the Concept of Certain Subject-learning Difference on Gender, which shows that teachers acknowledge that different sex is adept indifferent subjects. This concept would affect the varying behaviorstowards the boys and girls and thus make a big influence on their scoresachieved at school, and this in return will deepen and modify theteachers' Concept of Certain Subject-learning Difference on Gender. Allof the above is the basic hypothesis which this paper will try to prove. In order to test and verify this hypothesis's existence, this paper makesa survey on the teachers' Concept of Certain Subject-learning Differenceon Gender for the first step;secondly, this paper was based upon the classobservations about how frequent boys and girl are asked to answer thequestions in different subject teaching and the feedback of ensuingrevaluation;thirdly, it discussed the reasons why there exits such kindof differences. The result of this investigation will demonstrate a common opinionthat the boys are good at sciences and the girls are talented on the liberalarts. The gender role differences do exit in the questionnaires that areput by the teachers and there are diverse scores between the boys and thegirls. The difference attitudes towards the different gender role can onlymake influences partially on their scores: girls are better in the scoresrelated to liberal arts than boys and on the contrary boys are not superiorto the girls in mathematics as what is expected. This is a proof thatscore-getting is influenced by many factors, among which the teachers'expectation is included. The study has another observation owing toteachers always insist, "the boys are superior in the science to thegirls", even under such a truth that girls do get a higher score thanboys. This paper will give a brief explanation and discussion on thereasons why there is an inconsistent in the hypothesis. A discussion willbe given on the revelations and unexhausted research in this paper atlast . | | Keywords/Search Tags: | School Report, Gender Role Idea, Different Treatment, Education Strategy | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
