The socialization of gender roles refers to the gradual formation of individual’s gender expectations,norms and corresponding behaviors in the process of continuous growth.There are many factors influencing the socialization of primary school students’gender roles,such as family factors,school education factors,social and cultural factors,which play an important role in the process of the socialization of primary school students’ gender roles.This paper investigates the influence of parents and teachers’ gender role behaviors and gender role expectations on the gender role socialization of primary,school students in three primary schools in yanji city,analyzes the reasons,and puts forward Suggestions for the better development of the gender role socialization of primary school students.Taking Yanji DongShan primary school conservatory,Yanji JinXue primary school,primary school affiliated to Yanbian University normal school 328 students and their parents and 44teachers as the research object,using Wu Yueqiong gender role behavior scale,Gao Xiaoyun establishment of gender role expectation questionnaire and the sex role inventory for tools,through the investigation and statistics,analysis the following conclusions:(1)Gender role behaviors of parents are obviously reflected in the negative dimension,while gender role behaviors tend to be more positive.(2)Parents’ expectations of gender roles are generally above the average.The parents’ expectations of gender roles for boys are in the same order.Fathers have slightly different expectations of gender roles for girls,parents have higher expectations of gender roles for boys than for girls,and fathers have higher expectations than mothers.(3)Parents’ gender role expectations and gender role behaviors have a significant negative impact on primary school students’ gender role socialization.(4)Teachers’ gender role behaviors are obviously reflected in the negative items,while gender role behaviors tend to be more positive.(5)Teachers’ gender roles are expected to be above average on the whole.Teachers have higher expectations of gender roles for boys than for girls.(6)Teachers’ gender role behaviors and gender role expectations have a negative predictive effect on the socialization of primary school students’ gender roles.(7)The gender roles of primary school students are mostly androgynous,followed by undifferentiated-The traditional masculinization and gender inversion also exist in this minority.In view of the above research results,this paper analyzes the causes and puts forward the following Suggestions:(1)parents should participate in the gender role education of primary school students;(2)teachers should pay more attention to gender factors in school education;(3)the mass media should guide correct gender concepts. |
