As a new and dynamic teaching approach, dialogue teaching is becoming one of the latest focus in the education field. However, at present there is few specialized research on the dialogue teaching in the chemistry class. This mesis, based on the deep understanding of the Criteria of the Chemistry Course (experiment edition) and reference to the relevant theory and research outcomes of other subjects, gives a theoretical and practical research on the dialogue teaching in the chemistry class.Based on the study of the documents about philosophy, brain science, pedagogy and psychology, an analysis to the connotation, theoretical basis and principle of dialogue teaching is given. Then the research proposed the observation items and designed the observation tables according to the object and content of the research. After that, the observation is made by visiting some chemistry classes in several schools and at the same time, some questionnaires and interviews are carried out. In this way, the information about dialogue teaching in chemistry class is collected. Then by analysing this empirical research information, the present situation and characteristics of the dialogue teaching in chemistry class are concluded. At last, the principle of adopting dialogue teaching in chemistry class is proposed and some further suggestions are given.
