As is demonstrated in "The Rejuvenating Education Programme for the 21st Century" , future competition is that of science and technology, and talents. With times going on, knowledge refreshment and scientific developments come with each passing day. People have realized that it is how learners master knowledge that matters rather than how much they have learned. At present, many countries in the world see it as the most important orientation of educational innovation to teach learners how to study,, which means that educators must focus on methodological instructions and help develop students' good learning habits. As a philosopher puts it, habit is truly a greatly indomitable power, which can dominate one' s life. Once formed, the positive and scientific manner will not only improve the quality of study but lay the lifelong foundation, from which learners will benefit all their life.This article attempts to discuss how to develop the learning habit of high school students in chemistry subject by combining the results of the research in this respect at home and abroad. It also analyses the survey of some bad learning habits existing in all kinds of links , such as preview, timely revision, observation, and experiment in the course of learning chemistry. By doing so, the writer tries to find out the causes of the problem and gives directions, aiming at developing students' learning habit and improving learning efficiency. As a result, a good lifelong learning foundation will have been laid for students. Furthermore, the ways concluded and summarized in this article to develop learners' good, steady and lasting habits in chemistry study can also help the teachers change their teaching ideas and greatly improve their teaching quality.
