Firstly, this paper probes into the requirements about oral English teaching fromthe National English Curriculum Standard, the definition of oral English teaching andthe model of Speaking-out Activities, the characteristics and the theory basis ofSpeaking-out Activities, the definition and the structure of teaching model. And then itstudies its teaching aims, operative system, teaching strategies and its teachingsamples. After that, it judges the achievements of Speaking-out Activities in students'English level, students'attitude and emotion towards English learning, talks on itamong the teachers and ideas about it from the students. By the analysis of the model,the conclusion that I have drawn is that Speaking-out Activities can raise students'English level, stimulate their learning interests, accelerate the development of emotion,attitude and co-operation, form the effective learning strategies, and promote theircultural accomplishment and teachers'professional development. In the end, the papercovers the reflection on the model of speaking-out Activities. |
