Emotion, attitude and life value, stated in the New Curriculum Criterion, are concrete manifestations of moral education in the course of teaching, as a result of which, moral education should not be the monopoly of politics but a common teaching objective of all subjects. Thus, teaching should not only focus on improving students’knowledge and abilities but also students’ development in terms of emotion, attitude and life value, and train students to be new type of talents with scientific literacy and humanistic spirit, innovative spirit and practical ability, international perspective and national spirit, social responsibility and life planning ability. As far as I am concerned, to infiltrate moral education into our teaching is to achieve the teaching objectives concerning emotion, attitude and life value in every class.On the basis of research into the studies of infiltration of emotion, attitude and life value into biology teaching from both home and abroad and middle school biology textbooks, this thesis analyses the connotations of emotion, attitude and life value of middle school biology teaching and learning. According to the analysis, a set of thorough objectives of infiltrating emotion, attitude and life value has been proposed, including the textbooks for seventh graders and eighth graders and compulsory courses 1-2-3 for senior middle school students, and a comparison between the infiltration contents of junior middle school biology teaching and those of senior middle school biology teaching has been made. Then, based on the infiltration objectives of emotion, attitude and life value and the characteristics of adolescents’ mental and physical development, a teaching practice aimed at seventh graders and senior one students of Yichang Foreign Language School has been worked out and carried out for a school year. Meanwhile, an evaluation scale of emotion, attitude and life value for middle school biology teaching and learning has been established. At the end of the school year, by means of questionnaire survey, those students have been evaluated regarding emotion, attitude and life value so as to find out students’ status quo of emotion, attitude and life value related to biology, evaluate the effectiveness of infiltration in biology teaching and learning, and compare the differences between infiltration of emotion, attitude and life value of junior middle school and that of senior middle school.
