Culture Construction In Multi Campuses

Education department and the CYL central committee published in 2001 << comments on enhancing and improving campus culture construction in tertiary education>>, in which it is pointed out that campus culture construction in tertiary education is an important component of advanced communist culture. Enhancing campus culture construction has significant meaning to improving tertiary education innovation development, to enhancing and improving university student thinking and politics education, to improving university education quality in all perspectives. The document specified clearly main requirements and detailed tasks:improving gradually tertiary education campus culture construction, enhancing tertiary education campus culture environment education, establishing and perfecting protecting mechanism of tertiary education campus culture construction. Education department in 2015 work outline specified methods in enhancing tertiary education campus environment construction. From 1992 universities went into a period of large scale incorporation with further improving tertiary education management system. Simultaneously, many universities established new campuses based on existing campuses to meet the practical needs of enlarging education scale. Incorporation and enlargement of campuses left many universities in the situation of one university with multi campuses. Rebuilding existing education structure brings new opportunity to campus culture construction, and also brings enormous challenges. It is a big project in building new campus culture for managers of universities.This work deals with definition of multi campuses culture and analysis of campus culture in multi campuses from the perspective of campus culture and university campus culture. Taking Shandong University as an example, common and special problems in campus culture construction are discussed. Campus culture of multi campuses, taking Shandong University, is classified into different categories:material culture, institution system, behavior culture, spirit culture. Campus culture of multi campuses is deeply discussed from material culture, institution system, behavior culture, spiritual culture using literature review method and questionnaire method. From analyzing existing theories and questionnaire, borrowing methods and experiences from abroad in campus culture construction single and multi campuses, measures are put forwarded in enhancing and improving campus culture construction of multi campuses. Recommendations on enhancing campus culture construction of multi campuses are given and management on campus culture of multi campuses are put forwarded, which may provide further thinking and recommendations in culture construction management of multi campus and China tertiary education.
