High School History Multimedia Assisted Instruction Courseware Design

It explores a new world for history instruction in high school, by the development of modern educational technology, especially by the use of means of Multimedia Assisted Instruction. This dissertation addresses itself to the design of history Courseware which is the soul of Multimedia Assisted History Instruction, it discusses the following main questions through four segments: In the conspectus, the dissertation sets forth the meaning of Multimedia Assisted History Instruction, puts forward the necessary and feasibility of this study by reviewing the general situation of the development of history Courseware in China during the past twenty years and analyzing the problems exist in the design of Courseware. It also explains the process and approaches of this study. In the first section , " the design of Showing Courseware which should be explained by teacher" , it analyzes the practicality function of Showing Courseware at first , then sums up the main methods of this type of Courseware which includes five aspects such as "using vision and hearing at the same time", "dynamic space-time'' ., "Animation simulation" , "showing data" , "strengthening and review". Based on the particular examples, it also expounds the principles of the design of Showing Courseware. In the second section, "the design of Web Courseware", on the base of elaborating the function and principles of Web Courseware, the dissertation discusses the specific design methods of the two type of Web Courseware which are often used in high school history instruction, one is based upon the point of knowledge, the other is the type of subject oriented. Particular examples of the two kinds are also represented. In the epilogue, the dissertation sets forth the direction of development of Multimedia Assisted History Instruction in the future from the angle of technology and idea.
