Teaching structure is, under the guidance of certain education ideology, teaching theory and study theory, a stable one in which teaching activities are developed under some circumstances and a centralized reflection of education ideology, teaching theory and study theory. Studying this question is important for further transformation of education. This article studies the teaching structural model under the circumstance of modem distance education, hoping to provide some valuable reference to further development of the modem distance education in China.This article includes six sections as following:The first: Present situation and significance of study on teaching structure. The author gives his own point of view about the disputing concept and position of modern distance education and explains in detail the present situation and significance of study on teaching structure.The second: The philosophic theory of modern distance education. The author suggests that the theoretical basis of the teaching structure of modern distance education include two parts: One is the philosophic theory - constructivism; the other is the technological theory-the educational technology. In this section, the author gives a brief introduction on the constructivism, its studying theory and teaching ideology.The third: The basis of technological theoretical of modern distance education. Educational technology is the basis of technological theory of modern distance education, discussed in three parts: a) educational technology as the basis of the distance educational theory; b) the concept of the educational technology and its position in modern distance education; c) the essential technological equipment and methods for developing modern distance education.The fourth: The teaching structural model of modern distance education. This part is the center of the article. It, according to the basic theory and effectiveness of teaching and studying, firstly analyses two kinds of the teaching structure and the teaching structure as "studying and teaching is of equal importance". It secondly puts forward the seven key contents that the teaching structure of modern distance education should embody. Then, according to Charles F. Hoban's AV communicational model, it has designed the teaching structural model of modern distance education, i.e. it establishes the structural model on the basis of the systematic and controlling view, under the guidance of the constructivism and modern educational technology, and taking the teaching process as the designing line and the completion of the students' intellectual building as the final goal. Lastly, it introduces the marketing theory into the process of modern distance education.The fifth: Speeding up the integration of educational technology and the courses. This is determined by the nature of distance teaching and studying. The first is the concept of the integration of educational technology and the courses. The second is the goal of the integration of educational technology and the courses. The third is thesix principles of integration about the construction of the teaching structure of modern distance education.The sixth: The drawbacks and remedy of the new teaching structure. We should take some measures to make compensation because the new teaching structure can't reflect the condition of moral education. Firstly, we should build a special moral network site. Secondly, we can guide the public opinion in BBS. Thirdly, the school and society should cooperate. Fourthly, the adequate face-to-face teaching is useful to supplement modern distance education.
