This paper is based on one of tracking projects of CELTSC ( Chinese e-Leaming Technology Standards Committee ) in 2003.Although with the fast development of education informatization, there is no escaping fact that computer network as well as satellite communication becomes more and more important in current education, which makes it possible to break through the limits of time and space, the possibility is just possible because of many negative factors such as different culture, complex technologies and various standards. Therefore people always complain about many problems: information glut, garbage information, data smog, etc.. People also believe it's not easy to share information with their colleagues or classmates due to the disconnection between different educational systems. The deepening negative impacts accompanied with education informatization became obvious. Nowadays increasing people are beginning to realize that educational environment, just like ecosystem, can possibly be "polluted" by ill information. Furthermore, we should improve our strategies of exploiting information and take some actions to meliorate educational information environment. In conclusion, since information is aeriform, flowable and diffuse, traditional management have to face up to challenges in such information society. It's high time that we tried our best to optimize educational information environment. Content rating and filtering is one of the solutions to resolve the problem.This paper focuses on Chinese educational content rating standard on Internet, which can be divided into the introduction and the following four chapters:The first chapter provides the background knowledge of educational rating and filtering on Internet such as rating, labeling and filtering.The second chapter points out present educational content rating and filtering in the world.The third chapter focuses on Chinese educational content rating and filtering.The fourth chapter pays attention to the system and standard of Chinese educational content rating and filtering.
