21st century is a century of intellective economy. As modern technologies develop rapidly, electro-information-oriented technologies have been more and more applied to teaching. And this is reflected by the trend of using multi-media technology as a way of auxiliary teaching methods. In many areas, the conventional teaching modes restrain our professional physical teaching from further developing, while an important content of modern teaching methods is how to master and use these modern teaching facilities and methods. Therefore, to ensure the adaptability, creativity and rationality of teaching methods, we should duly shift our education philosophy, renovate the education concept and be actively involved in the research of new teaching methods that are adaptable to education ideas of the times.This essay, based upon the writer's development and application of CAI Self-Studying Courseware set up for Volleyball General Teaching Course, introduces modern educating technologies into PE professional teaching, and conducts a thorough study on such aspects as theoretic gist, education objectives, teaching methods and measures, and teaching effect through various ways as using literature data, experts' interviews, questionnaires, teaching experiments and mathematical statistics, etc. PE professional teaching attaches importance to students' comprehension on knowledge about athletic skills, how to master the skills in a proper and standard way, and how to cultivating students' ability in demonstration and explanation. To develop PE professional teaching, we need to break up the finitudes between the teaching modes of Theory Tuition and Skill Practice and combine these two, so that the overall effect and quality of PE professional teaching could be improved and PE professionals could be fostered. From theoretic point of view, the essay also proves the possibility of multi-media volleyball auxiliary teaching and its dominance. And a lot of experiments also show that this multi-media volleyball auxiliary teaching is more favorable than the conventional teaching methods in enhancing students' study enthusiasm, in mastering theoretic knowledge and techniques, in improving the ability of analyzing and problem-solving, and in fostering students' ability of creative thinking as well.
