Multimedia Courseware Auto Generating System Based On Authorware

Multimedia Courseware has been widely developed and rapidly used in teaching since 1980. Although multimedia courseware can make an informal atmosphere, it also exposes some weaknesses. Traditionally, you not only have to master a software which can make courseware, but also waste plenty of time and energy to make a courseware that can be only used in a certain situation. Such kind of courseware once is finished, it can be used for a long time, even forever and it is not easy to change. So traditional courseware is lack of universal property and flexibility.In order to help the teachers to solve the problems, such as the courseware is hard to make and hard to change, this article mainly analyzes and develops a multimedia courseware auto generating system based on Authorware. It is on the base of integrable ware concept. When the system is finished, the author design and make a whole English courseware of senior high school of Grade One. This paper focuses on the dynamic call of different kinds of materials, such as texts, images, videos and cartoons; the teaching design, knowledge structure design and the choices of materials of making English courseware.This article mainly introduces the present situation of CAI; the concept between courseware and integrable ware; the related technologies; the user and system requirement analysis; system frame design; the module design and the details of realization; the publish and the test of system; the application of the system (a whole courseware of senior high school of Grade One), including the teaching design and the effect analysis.This multimedia courseware auto generating system can make up the shortcomings of the traditional multimedia courseware. It can improve the flexibility, reusability, sharing of the courseware. It is very beneficial and efficient for teachers to make multimedia courseware.
