With teaching reform and new course, most of the teacher pay attention to the problem of the students ' differences. Professors and teachers are researching the problem. In some teaching-method' s books, have lots of discussions about it, this is a positive role. As the base of the P. E. teachers, the P. E. college of higher normal education must timely adjust its education concept and principles, promote teaching reform.The diversity teaching method is developed on the basis of the theories of teaching, teaching psychology and the principle of impart knowledge to pupils according to their varying of mental make-up. This paper mainly concentrates on the following respects: the theoretical basis, the teaching goal, the teaching principle, the teaching procedure and the evaluation of this model, and the approaches applied are "investigation of documents", "experiment", "interviewing the experts", "questionnaire investigation", etc. The paper generalizes the three advantages: bring the positive of the not intelligence factors into full play, pay attention to the process evaluation, harmonious teaching surroundings. It proves the feasibility and superiority of this model in the teaching practice of Long Jump in University Physical Education Course; at the same time, this paper draws a conclusion that diversity teaching method is more beneficial than traditional teaching models in improving and promoting the students' theoretical level, technical skill, observing ability and capacity of preserving the knowledge acquired; the result of the questionnaire further reveals that the diversity teaching method, put into the teaching practice of Long Jump in university physical education, is not only able to achieve the teaching goal predetermined but also favorable in cultivating the students' self-learning ability and consciousness of creativity, and its evaluation system is also highly affirmed by the students experimented. For all the above reasons consequently, the diversity teaching method provides a valuable reference in the reform of teaching models applied in other technical courses in physical training in addition to its application in the Long-Jump course.
