The Problems Of Secondary Education In Patriotism (genesis) And Countermeasures

Many people abroad from China are unwilling to return after their graduation; a few of the Chinese middle-school students are westernized in their mind, expecting western life, showing indifferences of socialist China's future. That tells us there are many serious problems in he Patriotism Education of the Middle Schools. It must be paid much attention to that we should analyze these problems, find out the causes and the solutions to these problems, so that we can foster more outstanding successors of the socialist construction cause. In the academia, no total study of such problems and solutions has been found out so far, there being only some research on only a certain of them.Through a long-term observation and study, I find out that the problems included are: educators, including instructive leaders, tutors, and parents don't have very high diathesis of antilogy and polity; and Patriotism Education in the Middle Schools are not very well put into effect, neglecting the teaching of duty education, socialism education, loving their schools, hometowns, and internationalism education; and also, we have no teaching of the hardship consciousness, and state safety-defending ; the ways of education are tiring and ineffective. We haven't taken much notice of the teaching about the values of collectivism and the philosophy of life —serving the people whole-heartedly.The causes of these problems are as follows: the socialist movements are very zigzagging; the negative effect of multi-culture; pursuit of the ratio of entering colleges; have no high economics; having little respect of students;The solutions are now raised. First, strengthen the education of the Patriotism Education in the Middle Schools; then, we must stick to the values of collectivism and rebuild the values of serving the people; we must have a very powerful leadership and rules so that we can have our educational work put into effect very well; and found a network of' family-schools-society'; and last, convert some bad behaviors regularly, according to the students' features of mind and body, and also try to improve school levels by adding funds into the education of the Patriotism.
