Higher vocational education is a branch of tertiary education,which had developed quite well in some developed countries one and a half century ago.The related theories and application provide a solid foundation for the growth of higher vocational education in China.School enterprise cooperation has been proved to be an effective approach for its development.Enterprises participate in practically every part and parcel of the higher vocational education,from the setting of new majors to the planning of talent cultivation,from selecting double position teachers to the opening of various courses,from theoretical education to field practice,from learning of academic knowledge to getting various professional certificates.The closer the cooperation,the more distinctive and competitive the school is.The government,on the other hand,guarantees its steady development through enacting related principles and laws and launches related standards and certificates.Therefore,school enterprise cooperation grows in a sensible way in China.By comparison between China and abroad,the author explores the problems and offers constructive solutions to the current cooperation between enterprise and higher vocational schools in China.The thesis mainly analyzes the issue from three parts,namely,a brief introduction to school enterprise cooperation abroad,current situation and problems of it in China and practical solution based on our situation.The first part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of current development of school enterprise cooperation in China.In this part,the three stages,namely,the first stage of cooperation for employment,the second stage of cooperation for education,and the third stage of cooperation on how to run the school.the thesis starts with the origin and characteristics of the higher vocational education,and then analyzes the definition,related rules and principles,and the role of government in guaranteeing and protecting its growth.The second part of,he thesis focuses on analyzed in detail together with the distinctive feature of each stage.Besides,it also brings forward some existing problems,such as the gap between theory and application,the mismatch between talent cultivation and the real need of enterprises,lack of related systematic and mature rules and principles.The last part of the thesis is the most important one,which offers coping strategies to existing problems.In order to solve these problems,both schools and enterprises must change the old thoughts,reinforce their awareness of responsibility,optimize the teaching staff,train double position teachers,improve comprehensive quality,and emphasize the serving capacity of enterprises.The growth must be based on the optimization of different majors,deepening and reform of talent cultivation,cooperation on course book compiling and activating of the role of councils.The author introduces the typical models of school enterprise cooperation,Berufsbildenden Schule in Germany,cooperation education in USA,“Sandwich” education in Great Britain,to name but a few.which emphasizes that a mature system is the guarantee of school enterprise cooperation.In the mean time,based on the analysis above,the author also puts forward the “cocktail” model.The higher vocational education in China should be guided by serving awareness,directed by employment and combine learning with work,which is also the requirement of the nation.The author,through the analysis of problems and solutions,hopes that the thesis can provide some suggestions to the development of the cooperation between enterprises and higher vocational schools in China.
