Innovation is the soul of a nation’s progress. With the further implementation of the new round of basic education curriculum reform, students’ innovation ability has gradually become the focus of attention. Innovation begins with problems, and the ability of students to put forward problems is an important performance of their innovative ability. In China, the research on the problem is mainly focused on education mode of the problem, and the research on the problem situation is relatively little.In this paper, the literature method is used to explain the relevant theoretical basis of mathematical problems posing and the definition of related concepts, and points out the relationship between the problem situation and the problem, then design the research content. Firstly, the writer made a questionnaire about the consciousness, experience and influence factors of high school students’ mathematical problems posing.Secondly, on the basis of the questionnaire results, as well as the same problem essence in different situations, the author explored the quantity and quality of students’ mathematical problems posing. Finally, the author interviewed some teachers to find out how much they know about mathematical problems posing, then gave the case according to the application of mathematical problems posing in high school.Through the analysis of questionnaires, test papers and interviews with teachers,the thesis finds that students’ total awareness level of mathematical problems is low;the factor affecting students’ problems posing is that they don’t know how to pose problems; in different situations, the quantity and quality of students’ problems posing are different.Taking the above into consideration, this paper puts forward the following suggestions on cultivating students’ problems posing:1. cultivate students’ problem awareness methods: set up relaxed learning atmosphere; protect the students’ curiosity; create appropriate explore environment for students, and cultivate students’ awareness of problems posing during the teaching process.2. teach students some strategies of problems posing: "what-if-not" analogy strategy, specialization and generalization strategy.3. the principles of creating mathematical problems: mathematical problems should be clear and in right place; the difficulty of the problems should be moderate,and the waiting time of getting answers from students need be appropriate; the problem should be instructive.
