With the reforming of elementary curriculum deepening continuously, teachers pay more attention to teaching mathematics thought in senior middle school. The full-time Ordinary High School Mathematics Teaching Syllabus and Ordinary High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard have also made clear and detailed requirements. The application status of mathematics thought in senior middle school of Lhasa, affects the overall level of mathematics education in senior middle school of Lhasa.In order to better implement the new curriculum standards and improve the quality of mathematics teaching in senior middle school in Lhasa, it’s extremely important to carry out the research of the application of mathematical thought of mathematics teaching in Lhasa. The research on the application of mathematical thought in senior middle school of mathematics teaching in Lhasa, will be conducive to promoting the development of quality education and improving the students’ mathematics accomplishment in Lhasa, will help to cultivate students’ mathematical learning ability and form a good cognitive structure of mathematics, will help teachers to implement of the new curriculum, will provide reference for the mathematics teachers teaching in senior middle school in Lhasa.The paper focuses on the following three aspects:(1)to understand the application status of mathematical thought in senior middle school of mathematics teaching in Lhasa and the existing problems;(2)to put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions in view of the problems noted;(3)to design the teaching case of the mathematical thought on some senior middle school mathematics content.With the literature research method, questionnaire survey method, interviews in the study, problems are found as followed:(1)with respect to the presence of teachers: teachers lack the integration of mathematical thought relating to mathematics textbooks in the senior middle school, teachers’ teaching consciousness of mathematical thought is weak, teachers is not good at using the modern educational technology aided teaching capabilities.(2)with respect to the presence of students: students’ mathematics learning habits is not reasonable, students lack the learning and application ideological consciousness of mathematical thought in senior middle school, students’ mastery of mathematical though is not ideal. To solve these problems, the suggestions have been proposed:(1)Suggestions for teachers: teachers should dig deeper into the mathematical thought relating to mathematics textbooks in the senior middle school, teachers should establish the awareness of mathematical thought teaching, teachers had better increase the use of auxiliary teaching of modern education technology.(2)Suggestions for students: students should develop good habits of previewing the new mathematics course, listening to the teacher carefully in class, making review plan of mathematics. Students should enhance the consciousness of learning and application of mathematical thought. Students must strengthen the grasp mathematical thought in senior middle school, concrete manifestation in: the Tibetan students’ Chinese level needs to be improved; under the guidance of teachers, liberal arts students should strengthen the training of mathematical problems, boys need to strengthen their own attentive level, girls need to enhance their abstract thinking.The paper makes the design of teaching cases about mathematical thought in senior middle school from the new lecture and recitation two aspects. New teaching case is the solution of the quadratic inequality, exercises teaching case is the "series" recitation, through the design of case teaching, guide students to in-depth understand the mathematical thought of number and shape combined with classification, function and equation, discussing ideology, transformation and reduction.
