Mathematical thought come into being with the development of Mathematics. The human’s cognition of mathematics knowledge (concept、 theorem、 rules and examples) and mathematics methods has been reflected. It belongs to philosophical and scientific method of thinking. Mathematical thought is the essential point in Mathematics. Its contents has been developed in the study of Mathematics、in the analysis and summarization to mathematic concept proposition and mathematical models and in the process of searching for new mathematics methods.Quality-oriented education has been mentioned for many years, but lots of schools can’t meet the requirement. Some teachers only pay attention to the results. Their ideas of education are out of date.They don’t care about mathematics thought and teaching method. New course reform is helpful for the mathematics teaching. The mathematic teaching should suit the students. Their abilities and habits of thinking will be improved. The perfect teaching method and mathematics thought will play a key role in mathematics teaching. The students’knowledge will be transformed into abilities. The mathematics consciousness will be strengthened.The purpose of the middle school mathematic education is not only to make the students grasp some necessary mathematics knowledge, what’s more, it’s to let the students use the mathematical ways of thinking and promote the development of thinking. In fact, the process of middle school mathematics teaching is the process of using all kinds of teaching theories to teach mathematics. During this period, the mathematical thought will be involved.This paper aims at discussing and studying the thought and method of Mathematics Discovery written by the famous American mathematician.According to the teaching practice, an appropriate teaching method should be used to guide the students to discover the problems in mathematics. Students’ thinking abilities should be improved and the mathematical thought should be developed.
