In the junior high school geography teaching, lack of students reading ability is always an important problem plagued the vast geography teachers, is the number of the students in reading disorder very large, concrete requirement and relevant strategies of map teaching also needs to be clear and perfect. The map is based on the cognition of junior high school students learning geography, is the key in the whole teaching process of geography curriculum function. This paper aimed at students map learning disorder as a practical problem research, observation and summarizing the main performance of reading disorder, analysis and summary of the main reason for reading disorder, so as to further develop the corresponding teaching strategies, to meet the basic needs of junior high school geography teaching, and on this basis, is committed to make the map ability become the basic skills of students in the future work and study. At present, the domestic and international research on the geography field, especially for the students in the map learning disabilities is not perfect, can provide more limited research results. This study based on the related theories, combined with the application of map teaching, provide some practical basis and reference value in the future research of map teaching.The map learning disabilities related concept definition and theoretical overview as the foundation, analyzes the main manifestations and causes of the map of junior middle school students with learning disabilities, mainly include: map for observing the disabilities, spatial thinking disorder, image migration barriers, language understanding barriers to learning disabilities and some external factors that lead to the map. At the same time, it makes a concrete explanation of the obstacles with the analysis of some teaching cases. Especially in the map of students observation ability obstacle this subdivision "failed to understand the scale of the concept", "can not be a correct understanding and analysis of the legend", "unable to map perception of global and local several.Improve map of junior high school students learning ability and not overnight thing, according to the present situation of students’ reading, the author thinks that in middle school geography teaching, training students’ reading ability, should be taken to teach students in accordance with their aptitude, the method of layer by layer depth. In this thesis, from training students’ reading habits, training students to look at the pictures in the right way, training students to draw the map ability, improve the students of the map information memory ability and comprehensive analysis of the map ability of several aspects to study countermeasures to solve the map of junior high school students with learning disabilities, based on combined with my work experience "let map stand up", "let the map to move", "let map alive" and "let maps to heat up" point of view is proposed.
