Geographical Science is the subject which research on geographical features, distribution and law of development and change of earth’s surface and the relationship between human beings and land, which requires us acquiring knowledge by observing from sensory perspective, however, this method is always restricted by many reasons. Geographic landscape image is definitely an effective way to achieve it. Geographic landscape image, which is the synthesis of regional nature and humanistic elements, could reflect the objects and phenomenon of geography graphically and intuitively. Geographic landscape image illustrates the geographic phenomenon that happens everywhere or tends to be ignored to students, who are capable of mastering knowledge on geography and the knowledge in daily life by personal observation. With the development of teaching media technology, an increasing number of teachers are trying to use the image to teach in geography class, on the other hand, it also became a hot material in geography of college entrance examination for the last few years. In conclusion, the research on geographic landscape image is something following the modern trends and a matter should be focused by every single geography teacher.After I surveyed some of the first-line teachers by delivering questionnaires, This paper, from theoretical and practical point of view, is expected to help readers understand how geography teachers cognize the geographic landscape image and how they obtain and handle it and the application and problems of the image in the teaching process is also concerned, by researching on how geographic landscape image is being used in high school class.Currently, there are two questions were found when conducting geographic landscape image in high school geography class:as for image resources discovery, there are not too many professional websites or image bases and the quality of images cannot be guaranteed. As for wielding image-teaching method, teachers are not capable of choosing appropriate way to teach and it’s also hard for students to get geography information.In order to cope with the above problems, several teaching strategies are proposed by reference to other research.On one hand, we are suppose to strengthen the construction of course resources when selecting geographic landscape image, which is required to be closed with content of courses and exhibit classical landscapes and latest geography information. Teachers should eliminate the factors by which students will be distracted, and emphasize on significant geography information. Scientificalness of contents should also be focused. There are several ways to exploit and construct image curriculum resource database, such as study-tours with parents, traveling, motivating students to learn, even building a public resource database with the mutual coorperation of teachers and school administration. On the other hand, how to make good use of landscape image is also important. teachers are required to enhancing the subject accomplishment,so as to combine the personal life and professional skills organically. Teachers should pay attention to the methods and strategies, for example, to choose right sequences when analyzing images in class, and then improving students’ ability of reading landscape images in the right ways.
