A Study On The Cultivation Of College Students' Altruism After "90"

Altruistic behavior has always been recognized as a virtue in the society. It is a kind of voluntary behavior for the purpose of helping others, showing the actors’ noble character in practical activities, as well as reflecting the inevitable requirement of social civilization development. As the higher level of moral behavior development, the whole society’s common altruistic behavior is not only an important aspect of individual socialization process, but also playing a crucial role in ensuring the harmony of the whole society and the sustainable healthy development. Along with the development of the social transformation, our social economic structure, value and cultural ideology has already changed. Altruistic behavior weakness has become a hot issue attracting the attention of the whole world, which will surely bring serious negative effects for mental development and harmonious society construction. College students is a special group of all the social members, especially the contemporary college students “after 90”.Facing with the great challenge of social transformation, their physical and mental development are deeply stamped by the changing times. They are social elites, whose thoughts and behaviors will lead the social trends of youth. Hence, college students’ altruistic concept and behavior is not only related to the development of personality, but also to the harmonious development of the whole society. Therefore, it is a significant topic to study“after 90” college students’ altruistic behavior, find out the existing problems in this group and strength their sense of altruism.This article has summarized the documents related to altruistic behavior in China and abroad. On the basis of predecessors’ research, I emphasize the import value of studying “after 90”college students’ altruistic behavior, starting from the basic concepts of “after 90” college students and altruistic behavior. Meanwhile, I expound the “after 90”college students’ altruistic behavior’s current status and existing problems through questionnaires and data analysis. I also analyze the subjective and objective reasons to the problems in multiple perspectives such as altruistic actors and recipients. Finally, according to the problems, I come up with some countermeasures in the respects of personal development, family environment, school education and social environment.Through the “after 90”college students ’altruistic behavior research, I hope to attract more attention to this phenomenon from family, college and society. This will not only provide certain theoretical support for “after 90” college students’ altruistic behavior research, but also improve enlightenment for cultivating and strengthening college students ’altruistic behavior. I wish to contribute my own efforts to promote college students’ all-round development in the future.
