School is the main place to promote the professional development of the head teacher. So the school-based training is particularly important. The school-based training is the teacher training which based on the situation of school. It is different from the general head teacher training. It put more emphasis on the basic requirements and characteristics of the school’s own development. The school-based training should enhance the students growth and development of school and head teachers’ professional skills. High-school period is an important stage of students’ physical and mental development. As head teacher is the most important and the most direct guidance for students, the development of head teachers has drawn more and more attention. Therefore, the Department of Education issued a corresponding policy to promote teacher training. However, school based training of head teacher in our country has not formed a set of system science training system, but also has not divided the study section and the districts to put forward the characteristics and the way of school-based training. This thesis takes three senior high schools in Zichuan district for an example with the methods of literature, questionnaire and interview. It contrasts the characteristic of different school section on Teachers School-based training and of different levels of school through domestic same type subject research to find out the problems existing in the current school-based head teacher training research.This paper consists of three parts. The first part mainly compared the specific situation of three high school. Through the questionnaire data analysis and the elaboration, problems existing in the current teacher school-based training can be found out from the wishes of the individual in training, school-based training organization form, content, target, and the effect, ect.. The second part mainly analyzes the cause of the problem. Through the collation and induction of individual head teacher and leadership interviews, there exsit problems in the area of Teachers’ personal level, school management and the local education administration department. According to the three aspects, further analyze the causes of poor effect of teacher school-based training in senior high school. The third part is to find problems and put forward corresponding countermeasure and suggestion. The research results were refined and elaborated. The effective strategies of school-based teacher training proceed mainly from five aspects to promote the development of local education and provide intellectual support for the construction of teacher team. This five aspects are training of the teacher’s professional consciousness, teacher team, training content, evaluation for school-based training and the formulation of education policy.
