As an important part of Chinese teaching, the teaching of novels are interesting,and students love that more than other kind of Chinese courses.Novels’ teaching have a significant influence in vocational education, and We must notice that secondary vocational education can teach the students not only the professional knowledge and technique but also the quality education. further other, the novels’ teaching can help students accept the education of literary accomplishment and moral sentiments, so students could get the basic interesting to learn Chinese and build their knowledge structure. Nowadays, there are some problems appearance in the teaching process in the secondary vocational school.In order to understand the current situation and problems of secondary vocational school, the paper investigate and collect evidence of the teachers, students and parents of Huang Dao secondary vocational school.The results show that teachers prefer to use the traditional and old-fashioned teaching methods and wouldn’t to seek a breakthrough;and students have more learning interest and motivation to learn novels than other kind of Chinese courses; besides, most vocational schools pay more attention to skill education and ignore the cultural lessons,not to mention the novels’ teaching;moreover,the students’ parents don’t pay special attention to the learning of novel because of some educational and economy reasons, it’s no doubt that they do not realize the significance of the learning of cultural lessons and novels.According to those questions, I analyzed about the characteristic of the teachers,students, school and the teaching environment. In the light of the request of curriculum standards and the current teaching situation of he secondary vocational school, I study the matter of novel teaching of secondary vocational school, the features will be display in the following three parts. Firstly, the classroom teaching design. According to students’ learning ability and mind characteristic, teachers should optimize the traditional teaching methods. Secondly, the guide of extracurricular reading. This part will lead students reading on their free time and use the novel learning methods which told by teachers. Thirdly, optimization of students’ learning environment. This part will talk about how to change the current concepts of education and optimizing teaching environment from the point of view of family,school and society.
