Dialogue teaching is an integral part in the whole primary English learning, and dialogue has always been throughout textbooks, teaching and learning. It’s the critical process to cultivate English learning interest,shape open and inclusive character,develop creative and critical mind and train the sense and ability of intercultural communication.It also lays a solid foundation for subsequent English learning. English curriculum standard of compulsory education clearly points that students should learn the basic knowledge of English language, develop skills of listening,speaking, reading and writing, form the ability of communication and promote the development in the ability of thinking by learning the English curriculum.So, it’s very important to carry out the dialogue teaching. If the English education in primary school wants to truly promote the progress and development of students,the importance of dialogue teaching must be taken into consideration and put in a significant position.However, the English dialogue teaching in primary school doesn’t carry out well. It simply becomes sentence patterns teaching,and has no link with real situation.As we all know,the teaching divorced from our life dooms to achieve nothing. It’s a long and slow process for the implement of primary school English dialogue teaching. And the two factors,teachers and students, means a lot in this process. Therefore, we need to carry out the primary English dialogue teaching from this two aspects.For teachers, teaching process should be fully prepared and teaching design should be arranged properly. And in the process of teaching, teachers should pay attention to the atmosphere of the class, the harmonious emotional communication with students, the English learning interest and attitude, the techniques and methods of question asking, the flexible of teaching methods. At the same time, teachers should guide the students to pick right English learning strategy and pay attention to the incentive effects of teaching evaluation diversification. For students, the interaction and cooperation between classmates is complement and good for each other. They should focus on the process of English learning and listen intently, think positively to keep the interest of English learning. They should also try to read simple English stories or listen to music, review and summarize the knowledge, connect the knowledge to real life and observe the use of simple English.This survey adopted many research methods including literature method, interview,observation method and so on. and it used S primary school in Z city as an example to investigate the current situation and problems of the primary school English dialogue teaching.This research can be divided into five parts: Part 1, put forward the issues of the research based on the background and summarize the relevant research at home and abroad; Part 2,illustrate the main idea and relevant theoretical basis of primary school English dialogue teaching; Part 3,investigate the current problems of the primary school English dialogue teaching in S school.Part 4, analyze reasons of English dialogue teaching in S school; Part 5, put forward the feasibility suggestions of primary English dialogue teaching based on the analysis of actual study and relevant research documents.
