Ordinary high school proficiency test comes from the graduate examination which was implemented from 1983 to 2000. But they are different from each other in a degree. Due to the advancement of high school curriculum reform, all the areas began to implement the academic proficiency test. But because the academic proficiency test was just explain if the students should graduate from school, many areas don’t pay much attention to the examination even call off it.And not only the schools but also the students only like scores. However, except as the standard for graduating from school, the examination also can monitor the quality of education and teaching in high school. It can test whether the students achieve the teaching objective of the required function. At present, college entrance examination plays an important role in during the school life and becomes more and more fierce. In order to reduce the students’ pressure of study and make them develop better in every aspects, in the mean time, the college can take in good students, the academic proficiency test plays an important role. So, all the areas have implemented the examination actively. However, there are differences in the specific practices of each region and the understanding of some important issues of the academic proficiency test is also different.This article aims to analysis the specific practice in each province and explain which approach will be better in order to provide a theoretical guidance for the better implementation of the academic proficiency test.There are four sections in this dissertation.The introduction mainly introduces the reason of choosing this topic, the content of foreign academic evaluation, the main content of the research of domestic ordinary high school proficiency test and the main research methods. The first part mainly shows the concept of ordinary high school and the ordinary high school proficiency test and the development course of the academic proficiency test. In the second part, this article mainly compares the qualified examination with grade examination, including subjects, the results presentation, the number of examinations and the content of examination. The third part mainly analyzes the content of the academic proficiency test in detail and analyzes the merits and drawbacks of different ways.Then discusses the professional operation of the examination and the relationship with college entrance examination, the purpose of which is to enable proficiency test program more complete and applicable to connect the college entrance exam well. The fourth part is mainly about some suggestions to the academic examination, including its function, the quality assurance system and the way of college admission.
