The Problems And Countermeasures Of College Students' Labor Education

Education through labor is an indispensable part in the history of developing China’s socialist education. As a state’s educational policy implemented by China for a long time, combination of labor and education is not only a problem that concerns what the educated are going to be, but also a basic principle that China’s socialist schools must follow in the process of running schools. However, with the social progress and the rapid development of the market economy, the trend that labor education has been gradually watered down appears more and more apparent. University students mainly accept their labor education on the campus. While with the wearing off the social function of university’ labor education, university students’ education through labor hasn’t showed the due educational effect. Therefore, the research about how to strengthen university students’ labor education is of great theoretical significance and practical value.There are three parts in this thesis. On the basis of summarizing university students’ education through labor, Part I focuses on defining some related concepts and then elaborates on the related theories and values of university students’ labor education. Based on universities, Part II points out existing problems in university students’ education through labor, mainly including the problems of marginalization, one sidedness, utilitarianism and losing touch with reality. And the causes for these problems are analyzed, including under-emphasis of labor education, the influence of social unhealthy tendencies and imperfect system for university students’ labor education. Part III put forwards with three effective countermeasures, including enhancing the attention degree, optimizing the environment and perfecting system for university students’ labor education.
