In the process of the reform and development of basic education in our country, because of the reasons of historical accumulation, policy adjustment, regional economy and so on, the high quality education resources and weak schools have appeared objectively. Weak senior high schools are relative to the excellent ones. For weak senior high schools, the conditions for running them, the quality of the students, the teaching level of the teachers and other aspects can’t be compared with excellent high schools. The existence of large numbers of weak senior high schools seriously affects the balanced development of basic education in China and the realization of educational equity. To explore effective management strategies of educating and managing weak senior high school students is significance theoretically and practically. It will help to improve the teaching level, improve education quality and achieve educational equity. It will play a strong role in promoting the balanced and sustainable development of basic education, so as to implement quality education, promote students’ healthy growth and development.This paper is based on the research to the management of Grade 2014 students from X Senior High School of Heze, a representative of weak senior high schools. By using the methods of investigation, literature research, case studies, action research and so on, the researcher has found some typical problems of the students in the aspects of life planning, learning, thinking and their behavior. This paper introduces detailedly some effective management measures and the results achieved by X senior high school, which can provide some practical experience for the management of students in the weak senior high schools.The full text is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction. In this part, the background, significance, research situation, research ideas and methods of the effective management of the weak senior high school students are presented.The second part: Students Management in Weak Senior High Schools and Related Theory Overviews. This part defines the three concepts of weak senior high school, student management, and effective management, and expounds the theoretical basis of student management: the Hierarchy of Human Needs Theory, Management Control Theory and Multi—intelligence Theory.The third part: The problems of weak senior high school students and the students management. Based on the questionnaire survey, the author lists the status quo and existing problems of the students from X Senior High School of Heze, and analyzes the causes of the problems.The fourth part is about the measures of the effective management of the students in the weak senior high school. This part is the focus of the whole paper. It introduces some effective students management methods that X senior high school of Heze have tried, such as the innovation of students management system, carrying out carefully designed educational activities, creating a campus culture atmosphere, combining school education with family education, and so on are presented detailedly in this part.In the fifth part of this thesis, the author briefly introduces the results of the effective management of the students from the aspects of the improvement of students’ academic performance, the improvement of students’ spiritual appearance, the change of the students’ ideal and the obtaining of various honors. The author also gives some reflections on the reform of students’ effective management in this part.
