Music Curriculum Standards of Compulsory Education, published in 2011,’new curriculum’ for short. It is a programmatic document for all music textbooks of primary and secondary schools in our country now. It is a vane for the development of China’s compulsory stage music education in primary school. It is an authoritative guidance information for our country’s front-line primary and secondary school music teachers. To study the contents of new curriculum has much practical significance. Such as, understanding of the current situation of music course at the present compulsory education stage in our country, grasping the implementation of the contents of the new curriculum in our country’s compulsory stage school. The Compulsory education music course textbooks published by people’s Music Publishing House(hereinafter called the people music version of the music teaching materials) is common and widely used in various provinces,autonomous regions inour country. This music teaching materials is strictly obey the new curriculum’s requirements published by the Ministry of Education. Firstly, it investigates and sums up the results of people music version published in 2001.Sencondly,it compiles and integrates relevant comments and information. Finally, through the strict examination and revision, it comes out. This paper will show the main contents and reflection of people music version(Grade one or two) on the new curriculum. It is based on the analysis and interpretation of the new curriculum contents. To sum up my daily teaching problems and the results of a questionnaire survey on part of teachers and students in Wuchang District of Wuhan City, I do a reasonable analysis. Then I put forward some own views. I hope to provide some valuable reference to some music teachers who engage in music education.
