The Modernization of education has become an important developing direction of education, and promoting the modernization of education is to adapt to the actual needs of the rural urbanization construction. Constructing the country to be a new heaven for teaching and learning can lay a foundation for the further development of economy and society. Meanwhile, the modernization of education is the most important way to change emotions, values and attitudes, and is a promotion of a planned hierarchical and systematic reform of rural education. And it is also the prerequisite and foundation for realize the goal of educational equality and justice. Besides, it satisfies the regularity that science and technology should infiltrate basic education of rural country, which plays an important role in modernizing the idea, education contents, education methods and the teaching staff of rural country.Modernization of rural education has been less researched traditionally in academia. But the modernization of education in a broad sense is paid much attention. Throughout the domestic and foreign academic research, many researchers cut education modernization into small modules, and then study on various these small modules transversely and longitudinally. Although such research is of great significance in sorting out all kinds of education modernization, it is still stereotypical for its lack of distinguishing the modernization of rural education and urban education modernization, for its failure to fully consider the current situation of China’s rural education and for its lack of integration of the imbalance, the mutual reaction between modernity and tradition in the development of China’s rural education. The study finds that modernization of China’s rural education manifests differently in the east, central section and west. And modernization of rural education often has some difference with modernization of education under a general background.Firstly, the main structure of this study: the main object of this study is the modernization of rural education. For comprehensive study of rural education modernization, this research mainly circles on the importance of speeding up the modernization of rural education in our country, on the basic situation of rural education modernization in China, and on the countermeasures and reflection of accelerating the modernization of rural education in our country.Secondly, the main contents: the premise of this research is the study achievements of previous scholars. While the research does deep study on many issues on modernization of rural education based on previous studies. On the one hand, the study starts from the importance of modernization of rural education, and deeply analyzes the education and the modernization of education, the main content of the modernization of education and the specific role of education modernization, laying a certain foundation for the following studies on this aspect. On the other hand, this research summarizes the achievements and the characteristics of modernization of rural education in China, effectively carding the problems and difficulties on modernization of rural education to explore deeper problems hindering the development of the modernization of rural education. Based on this, the study also proposes effective countermeasures for accelerating the development of modernization of rural education after referring to previous articles and profoundly reflects the modernization of Chinese rural education in the new century.Thirdly, the important point: China’s rural country shares such characters as the large population base, the tardiness of education thought and the lag of application of science and technology. So promoting the modernization of rural education must change education thoughts, carry out the reform of basic education and give priority to increase government investment, or modernization of rural education will become a meaningless term and polite formula. In addition, the development of China’s rural education modernization is a continuous process. So modernization of education must be seen as a whole before it is studied. And all kinds of effective measures of the reforming education modernization must be proposed on such holistic approach. In such a way, the grand blueprint of modernization of rural education can be accomplished from big one to small one and from imperfectness to perfectness.
