With the continuous development of professional master degree of education in China, the Masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching enrollment is broadening, dissertation topics selected by the Masters of Education is one of the important indicators to evalue the quality of the dissertation, the pivotal factor that determine the quality of the paper is the topic, the topic is especially critical for writing an excellent dissertation. So to research and analysis the dissertation topics selected by the Masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching have both theoretical and practical significance.This study takes the dissertation of the on-the-job(from 2005 to 2015),full-time(from 2011 to 2015),free normal students(from the class of 2012 to 2013) Masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching in Shaanxi Normal University as research samples, on the basis of reference documents, the author uses the method of content analysis, statistical analysis to compare and analyze the dissertation topics selected by the Masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching.Research shows that:① the number of the dissertation of on-the-job Masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching decreased after 2007, the number of the dissertation of full-time Masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching increased rapidly after 2011 and have remained stable.② The types of the dissertation topics selected by the three kinds of the Masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching mainly is applied research and investigation research ③ The direction of the dissertation topics selected by the three kinds of the Masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching is mainly focused on middle school chemistry education; Emphasize on the teaching but underestimate the teachers; Analysis of the 16 specific categories under the chemistry teaching, chemistry curriculum, students, chemistry teachers, the chemistry teaching method and strategies, chemistry curriculum content, student learning all account for larger proportion.in the dissertation topics selected by the three kinds of the Masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching, the Chemistry teaching mode, curriculum implementation, students’ behavior and psychology all account for larger proportion.in the dissertation topics selected by on-the-job Masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching.Based on the above analysis, summarizes the characteristics of the dissertation topics selected by the Masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching:① On-the-job Masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching pay attention to the research on teaching practice of chemistry;② Free normal students Masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching focus on the frontier academic issues;③ The masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching pay attention to cultivate chemistry subject characteristics.Then summarize the existing problems in the dissertation topics selected by the Masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching:① The Topic Selection is too large, lack of refinement;② The part of Topic Selection lack of innovation ③Partly the academic language of the Topic Selection is not standardized. Aiming at the characteristics and existing problems, mainly from the three aspects of the quality of Master of Education, the tutor of Master’s of Education, training mode of Master of Education mode and to analysis the influence factors.Finally put forward the suggestions towards the thesis topics selected by the Masters of Education in Chemistry Teaching: ① correct the attitude of the Master of education topic selection, be stricter in opening links; ②improving the basic quality of the master of education, strengthen the guidance of the basic theory;③science-ify the course settings, diversified the teaching methods;④to perfect construction of the supervisor group, strengthen the process guidance of topic selection.
