Study On Topic Selections By Masters Of Education Administration From Universities In Hunan Province

As one of the 18 professional degrees in China, Master's Degree of Education can be broadly classified as 17 professional directions, namely, the following 6 researching fields: education administration, scientific discipline teaching, modern educational technology, science and technology education and mental health education. Master's degree of education is to foster application-oriented and high-level talents for the forefront of fundamental education. Since the first round of pilot degrees in 1997, Hunan province has begun to set up Master's Degree of Education for 11 years. Numerous talents are cultivated for the education at the fundamental level.In this study, 139 academic dissertations in the field of education adminstration, offered by universities in Hunan province from 2003 to 2008, have been adopted as samples and qualitatively and qualitatively analyzed to reveal the characteristics of topic selection. SPSS15.0 is used for the descriptive statistical analysis and the features of indicators, researching concerns and reseraching trends of master's degree of education are revealed. Four chapters are included. In the first chapter, the source of sample dissertations is biriefly introduced and dissertations are classified. With a view to finding researching concerns and features of topic selection, topic slection and its classifications are descriptively elaborated in the second chapter. Based on the established indicators for master's degree of education administration, the existing problems and corrensponding reasons are analyszed in the third chapter. And in the fourth chapter some references and countermeasures are put forward to perfect the topic selection for master's degree of education administration.
