"Recite" means to retell the original text out of one’s memory, students should read the text fluently and understand it before reciting. "Recite" is a method to store and build language in one’s mind, it is one of the basic skills of reading. It is an important method of language teaching and learning, which relates to people’s psychological activity, is also a kind of ability. To a certain extent, "recite" plays a very important role in students’development, it can help to improve the students’ language ability, promote students’intelligence development, inherit Chinese traditional culture as well as to carry on the moral education of students.In this essay, I use research literature,descriptive research method, statistical analysis and experience summary. I devote myself to study the condition of students’ reciting on the basis of their age, cognitive level and some feedback of students’ reciting activities at our school. I devote to explore the methods and approaches of cultivating students’ability of reciting by studying teaching materials of Jiangsu Education Press. I hope to be able to stimulate pupils’interest in reciting and make students take pleasure in reciting. As a result, to improve students’Chinese attainment and accumulate their cultural connotation.The thesis is mainly divided into five parts.The first part is the conclusion, including the value of reciting, the method of reciting, the evaluation of reciting as well as the analysis and induction of classroom teaching theory in reciting,the standpoints of myself.The second part focus on the effect of reciting on the primary Chinese learning.It is mainly about pupils’text comprehension, oral expression and written expression.The third part introduces some methods to teach students of different ages how to recite. Put simply,to find out the advantages and disadvantages of pupils’reciting first, then to put forward the way of guiding reciting according to the different characteristics of different stages of learning in primary school.The fourth part is the research of reciting method of different themes in the textbook of primary school. It is mainly about three aspects:guidance to reciting prose, poetry and idioms from primary school textbook.The fifth part is the conclusion, it is my prospect for this task and some shortcomings of this study.
