Investigation On The Current Situation Of Children 's Outdoor Activities

Outdoor activities are the regular activities for kindergarten, it is also an important symbol to judge the level of the kindergarten. children can freely run, jump, stretch their limbs out, at the same time, intense emotions can get healed by these activity.Outdoor activities can also help children improve their health, motor co-ordination and balance ability. It gives children a wide world to choose partners, to create more opportunities to discuss and communicate, and develop their social attributes by these outdoor activities. At the same time, children can also develop and express their own characteristic when they play among the nature environment.In this study, a survey about the outdoor activities for six kindergarten in City A is processed, in which the number of the children, time, content, event space and other information during the activities are recorded. And at the same time, we also discuss with part of the teachers to learn their opinion for these activities and their role definition during the activities. The leader of the kindergarten had also been asked about the unexpected accident during the activities.This survey found that the number for the children who join the activities is very different at the different period of time, the most one happen during the morning exercise and the least one happen during the morning activities. The average activities time is about 110 minutes form 95 minutes at least and 140 minute at most. The number of the large sport equipment for outdoor activities are obviously not enough, and each kindergarten will made their own equipment to rich the activities content. It is also canbe found obviously that all the kindergarten face the problem of the shortage of the outdoor event space.Study found that the main reason for restricting the development of outdoor activities for the children, is that the shortage of event space and equipment for outdoor activities, lack of recognition for teachers, lack of individual guidance for children,even some teachers don’t have strong sense of responsibility.Finally, some suggestions are proposed for senior children to improve their outdoor activities increase facilities investment for outdoor activities, make full use of the limited space for kindergarten and realize resource sharing with nearby communities and parks, establish a management and evaluation mechanisms for outdoor activities with a system of rules in order to reduce accidents, allow parents to participate in outdoor activities and achieve their homes mutual infertility, and so on.
