In recent yeas, with the fast expanding of China’s higher education, the number of college teachers is getting larger. Among them, female college teachers have amounted to such a proportion that they cannot be neglected and they are playing as an important role as their male counterparts.However, they are under various stress and facing a lot of challenges. On the one side, they are enduring constant and great changes of work and living environment resulting from social development and the deepening reform of higher education institutions. On the other side, they are confronting value conflicts, gender characteristics, and familial responsibility.Therefore it is of great significance for us to pay more attention to this female group and their life by analyzing their stress and why they get these pressures, on the basis of which ways to help them relieve and adjust themselves are expected to find. That will promote their individual career development. At the same time it will have positive effects on many aspects such as improving teaching-researching quality, promoting student growth, education development and social progress.In review of this, this paper make case study of female teachers from C University and explore their stress, attempting to get to known the general conditions of female college teacher in our country.In Chapter 1, we make case analysis by taking the female teachers of C University as research objects.In Chapter 2, according to the theory of stress cognitive interaction,we sum up the general conditions of these female teachers in the dimensions of mind-body stress, work stress, familial stress and social stress they are facing. Then we category these female teachers by age, nationality, title and teaching subjects and make comparisons. At last we conclude the internal and external factors that leave them under stress.In Chapter 3, we make a survey and get some data and then process the data. Combining the results and the internal-external factors from Chapter 2, we accordingly put forward external-supported and self-adjusted solutions to ease and deal with the stress.
