A Study On The Relationship Between Parental Rearing Styles, Emotional Intelligence And Life Satisfaction In Technical College Students

The technical education is an important part of Chinese modern education. As a specialgroup of youth mechanic college students, the development of mental health should beconcerned. This research through the life satisfaction as an indicator of mental health research,at the same time, further explore the relationship amongst Parenting Style, EmotionalIntelligence and Life Satisfaction, has the certain theory and practical significance of MechanicCollege Students for psychological health education guidance.This study used the questionnaire method, the use of Egma Minnen avBardndosnauppforstran (EMBU), Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire and Adolescent lifesatisfaction scale, selected the Shandong province Qingdao technician college students,respectively from the one or two, the third grade class in randomly selected as sample. A totalof788questionnaires,738questionnaires were recovered, the recovery rate of93.7%;689questionnaires were effective, efficient93.4%. Through the SPSS19.0analysis of the data todraw the conclusion that:1. Parenting Styles has significant difference in gender, only child or not, the seat of thefamily, whether parents divorced and other demographic variables;2. Emotional Intelligence has significant differences in gender, family structure;3. Life Satisfaction has significant differences in gender, family structure;4. A significant correlation exists among the Parenting Style, Emotional Intelligence andLife Satisfaction of two two;5. Emotional Intelligence plays mediating effect on technician students’ Life Satisfactionscores in the influence of Parenting Styles. Specific performance of the Father’s Warmth&Understanding factor and Father’s Punishment factor can influence the level of LifeSatisfaction through Emotional Intelligence. Mother’s Warmth&Understanding,Mother’s Denial can influence the level of Life Satisfaction through EmotionalIntelligence.
