Chinese great educator Confucius said "If you have not learnt poems, then you are beyond words." In September 2014, when the 30th Teachers’Day was coming, Xi jinping, the chairman came to the Beijing Normal University to visit teachers who were working once said "I’m not in favor of the classical poetries and proses away from the textbooks,’desinification’is very sad. Teachers should take these classic into the students’mind, they will become the Chinese nation culture genes." However, the teaching and learning on classical poetries which contain the essence of Chinese traditional culture is facing marginalization predicament. The classical poetries take significant proportion in the senior high school language textbooks which were publiced by People’s Education Press. The H senior high school of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is my alma mater. So the research about the teaching and learning on senior high school classical poetries is based on the H senior high school as s case.The research methods include literature analysis, questionnaire survey method, interview method and observation method.This paper is divided into four parts:Firstly.Dating back the teaching and learning history on classical poetries from ancient to modern stages.Then clarifying the educational value of ancient poetries, they are the humanistic education value, aesthetic education value and the emotional education value.Secondly. Five volumes required textbooks publiced by People’s Education Press are the mainly used by the H senior high school. My research will statistic and analysis the 22 classical poetries from required textbooks publiced by People’s Education Press in the second part of the paper. According to the new curriculum standards,from the perspective of teaching methods and teaching contents make the teaching requirements about senior high school classical poetries clear.Thirdly. Analysis some areas which need improve on teaching and learning of the classical poetries in the H senior high school. Learning situation:the interest is lack, the foundation is weak, the learning method is improper. Teaching methods:the teaching ideas are far behind, the teaching and learning design is not flexible enough, ignoring the guidance of learning method. Evaluation:evaluation methods are single, evaluation range is narrow.Fourthly.According to the problems,we have made some strategies to improve the teaching and studying situation. Changing it through stimulating interest in learning, cultivating autonomous learning awareness and encouraging interpretation of poetries in classes. Teachers also need to constantly update their own teaching ideas, make their design of teaching and learning more flexible and pay attention to the guidance of learning methods, so as to make teaching and learning become more perfect, with teaching and learning design of 《Nian nu jiao-Chi bi huai gu written by Sushi》as a typical case for reference. Establishing comprehensive views of evaluation on teaching and learning.and comprehensively apply ing a variety of evaluation methods to improve the teaching and learning evaluation.
