Chinese civilization has a long history, with a large amount of literary works such as Shi, Ci, Yuan Qu. The poet Tao Yuan Ming was famous for his Simple and natural poetries. Li Bai’s poetries are full of enthusiastic and heroic characteristics. Du Fu’s poetries are depressing. Wang Wei usually wrote the poetries with vivid pictures. Li Shangyin was good at using the obscure words in her poetries. Bai Juyi wrote his poetries with simple and direct languages. All these literary works are worth reading especially for the junior high school students. However, the teaching contents for junior high school students are limited, the students can not fully understand the deep meaning of the ancient poetries. The teaching situation is worrying and the purposes of teaching are hard to be met. Besides it is not easy to find the proper way to solve these problems. These are the tasks faced by our junior high school teachers.This thesis is under the guideline of independent study. The essay is doing research of the effective strategies of ancient poetries teaching by analyzing the characteristics and value of ncient poetries teaching, focusing on learning situation like the single method and the low interests that the students show to the study, analyzing the different teaching phenomena, combining the success of educating Dai Yu who was a learned woman in ancient China. My goals are to help the junior high school students improve their Chinese abilities, enrich their emotional experience, shape their personalities, and realize the unique value and charming of ancient poetries.The successful experience and effective teaching strategies are the key points of this essay. For students, they need have the ambitions to learn and the persistence of pursuing the knowledge, and the determination of hard working including reading frequently, doing practice effectively and asking question purposely. For teachers, they should respect the students’emotional experience and individual experience, help students accumulate the daily materials and get rid of their fear, let them have the initiative to learn, and transfer the students to the focus rather than the teachers.
