Education is a cause of fostering life. Life is not easy and tough, sincere and real,which requires educators to face the value of life. Life is the origin of education, andis also the end of education. In our country, the study on life education in primary andmiddle schools has made some achievements, but just beginning in the secondaryvocational school, where the study about the life education and curriculum integrationis not much. Influenced by the modern social division of labor and the utilitarianismof the market economy, secondary vocational schools focus on the needs of theemployment, laying particular stress on the cultivation of operating skills, ignoringstudents’ life consciousness as individuals. Therefore, the present situation aboutvocational school students’ life consciousness is not optimistic. The students arelacking of literature, history, and philosophy knowledge, and they have no idea andfaith. They also ignore the existence and value of life. The author hopes that the studywill draw relevant personages’ attention to the secondary vocational schools’ lifeeducation. He also wants to discuss how to integrate life education and historyteaching in secondary vocational school.In this paper, the author explores the present situation about life education inhistory teaching and the relation of the two, and analyzes the value orientation ofconsistency. He also discusses the starting point of life education in history teachingand the ways of education fusion. According to the related theories and the existingproblems, the author boldly puts forward his view that teaching management andteachers’ life qualities are the supporting points of the combination of life educationand history teaching. On the basis of a large number of teaching cases especiallypractice and experimental analysis, this paper explores the combination of lifeeducation and history teaching in details and evaluates the effect of it from settingteaching goals, organizing teaching contents and creating teaching situations. Thispaper provides practical and effective methods for history teaching and life educationcombination. It also puts forward some thinking for further research.
