School-based training for rural teachers plays an important role in improvingthe rural teachers’ professional ability, which is one of the important impetuses to thedevelopment of rural education. The mechanism of school-based teacher trainingallows school-based teacher training to run smoothly. It contains organization andmanagement mechanism including the school-based teacher training plans, as well astraining content, training methods, training evaluation. It is one of the basic elementsof school-based training for rural teachers smoothly. Therefore, the establishment ofschool-based training mechanism for teachers in rural areas and improve the ruraleducation are the urgent problems to be solved. In this sense, school-based trainingmechanism of rural teachers is an important issue worthy of studying.This paper takes the rural middle school which the author is working for as anexample. According to interviews, observation and other methods, in order todescribe and study the institute of school’s management organization, theschool-based training plans, training content, training methods, training assessment.And the paper finds the organization and management of that school-based trainingconsists of the principal as the main leader, competent teaching vice president, Dean,vice director of dean’s office as deputy leader, teaching and research group leader,group of grade group leader and part of lesson group as members of the trainingmanagement leading group. The study also leans that school-based training of theschool is to improve the quality of the teachers and improve the school’s reputationas the purpose. The methods and content of school-based training are more diverse,but the training evaluation is relatively simple including the students’ achievement,the attendance of student, discipline and sanitary flow red flag and so on.According to the study of mechanism of school-based teacher training of theschool finds that the school-based teacher training of the school is in the beginningstage and then this paper puts forward some suggestions, for reference. First,establish sound management of school-based training, a clear responsibility. Second, establish a "bottom-up" school-based training plans and content; listen to the voiceof the ordinary teachers. Third, develop a suit of his school practical trainingpractically. Fourth, the establishment of a complete evaluation system ofschool-based teacher training should be operable. Fifth, the headmaster should applyfor the school-based training funds.
