High school composition teaching has always been plagued Chinese teachers’ teaching charm. Teachers don’t know how to help their students improve writing level; As for the composition, students only care about is how many words they should make. When we write1000-word composition according to the examination requirements, how many words we should make whether complete the composition effortlessly without penalty because of less words. The status of high school composition teaching is the teachers teach hard, but students don’t learn well and parents’worries and the university entrance exam composition strategies emerge in endlessly. High school composition teaching can’t get the affirmation of the society.As a high school Chinese teacher, I am a struggling explorer in composition teaching. The following are my feelings in my teaching:First of all, the composition teaching is not independent. It and all the other teaching modules are inseparable. So we must have one semester of instructional design concept. Our teaching design can not only for a class. The thesis teaching design should be based on reading teaching and combine the students’ daily life experience. Secondly, a better composition teacher must be good at listening to student; going into students’minds, and guiding students correctly. Only in this way can teachers convince students; can teacher know different writing skills of each student; can teachers help students write good composition.This paper summarizes the gains and losses in my teaching composition in recent years, and explores the success or failure in high school composition teaching. It mainly introduces the current research situation of composition teaching in high school, found problems and puts forward related suggestions.
