School adjustment means the individual acquires the appropriate development ofoverall learning, behavior, interpersonal relationship, emotion and so on by makes thepsychological and behavioral adjustment through the interaction with the schoolenvironment constantly under the school background. For school-age children, schoolis the important place to learn and grow, a good school adjustment is an importantprerequisite for their diversified development in body and mind. As a special group ofpupils with learning disabilities, the research on their school adjustment will helpthem to better adapt to the school environment and develop their potential.This research adopts the self-designed 《The questionnaire for pupils’ schooladjustment》.It investigates the situation of school adjustment by97pupils withlearning disability and90ordinary pupils, includes the adaption aspects of learning,behavior, interpersonal relationship, emotion. It analyzes and compares thedifferences of the above-mentioned aspects between learning disability pupils andordinary pupil, describes the overall situation and characteristics of learningdisabilities pupils’ adaptation and then discuss the school adjustment of developmenttrend of grade and gender characteristics for learning disability pupils. It provides thebasis of adaption level of the learning disability pupils for the educatorscomprehensively, also presents feasible suggestions for teachers and schools toimplement the education intervention.Results show that: the adaption level of learning disability pupils is below theordinary pupil and shows significant differences extremely. The overall level ofschool adjustment of learning disability pupils is not good, in the above-mentionedaspects, the behavior is best and the learning is worst; the trend of the level is aupside-down V, level of the low grade is poor, the middle grade attend to peak and thehigh grade get down; the overall level makes no significant difference between thelearning disability boys and girls, but at the aspects of emotion and behavior, Thegirl’s adaptation level better than boys, and it achieves a significant level of difference.It suggests based on the results of this study: we should create a supportenvironment, make an effort on improve the school adjustment of learning disabilitypupils; adopt corresponding educational measures based on the characteristic in theaspects of learning, behavior, interpersonal relationship and emotion; pay attention to the difference of grades in the school adjustment of learning disability pupils, graspthe key period and keep the consolidation; develop the respective advantages betweenboys and girls, achieve complementary education finally.
