In the ancient society, the mass have no concept of "children". With the development of the society, people gradually realize the uniqueness of children, the thought of "child-centered" also gradually accepted by people. The image of children in the mass is gradually changing. In academic field, the image of children is also changing. The attitude of researchers on children can be reflected through research content and method. The research content reflects the focus of researchers, and the research method is not absolute "objective" and "neutral", which implies the attitude of researchers. The clue of the paper is the relationship between the children and researchers, by studying the change of the content and method to reflect the view that researchers to children. In research, the relationship between researchers and children is gradually from research and be researched to research for children. The researchers also gradually give up the thought of adult-orientated, shift to the thought of children-orientated. This thesis mainly discusses from three parts:The first part, describe the changes of the contents and methods. In different ages, the content of research on children is gradually changing. The content affects researchers deciding which methods to use and, the methods that used by researchers implies researcher’s attitude to children.The second part, analyze the reason behind this changes. There are numerous factors leading to this changes, while the direct factor is the establishment of the concept that child is center, the focus of research ethics, the development of the rights of children movement.The third part, discuss and reflect. The reflection that the author obtained and the role of research ethics committee and some related discussion of ethics.
