Writing is a kind of creative work that can help students learn the world and understand themselves. The ability of writing can reflect the students’Chinese accomplishment in a comprehensive way. The teaching of writing, as an important part of Chinese teaching, its objective is to cultivate the students’ writing ability. The writing teaching in middle school is as the initial stage of senior school has a great relationship with improve students’ ability of use language to express their feeling and related to the building of students’ healthy personality. However the reality of composition teaching in junior middle school is not optimistic, some teachers are not clearly understand about the nature and purpose of composition teaching, the main point of composition teaching is not prominent, the teaching method of composition is not scientific. All of these problems prove that we must reform the composition teaching in middle school. The famous Chinese educator Mr. Zhu Ziqing made a profound explanation on the composition teaching of his rich writing practice and a keen sense of the scholars. He defined the nature of composition teaching as practical, cultural and expression; he pointed out that the purpose of teaching writing is to improve students’ life skills and cultivate their healthy personality; the main point of composition teaching is to cultivate students’ability of thinking, language application, express their real feelings and other abilities. The strategy of composition teaching is to guide students pay attention on real life, keep combination of reading and writing, establish the imaginary of readers’ consciousness. Mr. Zhu Ziqing’s composition teaching thought emphasis on practicality and effectiveness, this teaching thought consistent with the practical of writing teaching and has the inspiration significance to current composition teaching reform practice.This paper has three chapters:The first chapter is interpretation of Mr. Zhu Ziqing’s teaching thought. In this thesis, firstly we explain the basic system of Zhu Ziqing’s composition teaching thought. And then we go thought the his composition teaching thought from the nature, objective, main point and strategy of composition teaching. Chapter two is the realistic background of middle school composition teaching reform. In this chapter, we start from these two aspects of composition teaching concept of "new curriculum standards" and middle school students’writing psychology. Clear the teaching object of composition in middle school and the psychological characteristics of teaching target. After this we combined with the interview survey to pointed out the existing mistake in current middle school composition teaching and discuss the necessity and possibility of profound reform in middle school composition teaching. Chapter three is the enlightenment of Zhu Ziqing’s teaching thought in the reform of middle school composition teaching. In this chapter, we combine with the composition teaching practice of current middle school, use Zhu Ziqing’s composition teaching thought as the guidance, from the four aspects of understanding of composition teaching nature, clear the purpose of teaching writing, prominent highlights of composition teaching, optimize composition teaching strategy to discuss the middle school composition reform practice and try to find out a scientific way of middle school composition teaching reform practice.
