Reading takes an important part in high school Chinese language teaching, which is a vital approach to improving the students’language level and contributing to their development. This essay focuses on researching the problems arising from language teaching and the causes of them, and discussing the strategies in high school language teaching, based on the current teaching situation of Chinese reading.It can be divided into three chapters. The first chapter is The Current Teaching problems of High School Chinese in SuJiao Version, which not only points out the achievements in reading teaching since the new curriculum reform, also points out its problems based on the teaching in class. The second chapter is The Analysis of Reasons for Problems in High School Chinese Teaching in Jiangsu, which are mainly from the teachers, the students and the assessment system. The third chapter is The Teaching Strategies of Chinese Reading in High School in SuJiao Version. First, developing students’interest in reading; Second, introducing self-study, cooperation, research to classes; Third, highlighting students’experiences. The author adopted case analysis and document analysis throughout the whole research. In conclusion, these researches and practices are beneficial to raise teachers’teaching efficiency and helpful to enhance students’ability of reading.
